Alex has been working for Rhythm Time since January 2010, firstly as an assistant and additionally as a teacher since January 2011.
Alex played the cornet at school but admits she is more than rusty these days (maybe picking it back up one day!).
Her daughter attended classes from a baby right through to preschool and she is now a member of two choirs and is learning to play the guitar.
What Alex loves about her job with Rhythm Time is seeing the children's progress as they grow and develop through the different stages. She loves hearing stories of the children doing things they have learned at Rhythm Time at home. Not many people are able to say that they make children smile, dance and sing everyday but Alex does and she loves it!
Catherine began working for Rhythm Time in March 2011, first as an assistant, then as a teacher from September 2011 and thoroughly enjoys every minute of it.
Her musical background began as a small child, playing the flute and piano, and singing in the local choirs from the age of 9. She still enjoys singing soprano with a local choral society.
She has two children who both attended Rhythm Time classes and has seen the advantages first hand of coming to Rhythm Time.
Catherine teaches in Harborne, where she says its great to see the children grow in confidence and ability, but most importantly to see the parents/carers and the children enjoying the sessions and having fun.
She also teaches at Birmingham Children's Hospital, where the teaching is slightly different and can be challenging, but is worth every minute to be able to make a poorly child smile.
Esther has been working for Rhythm time since March 2008, firstly as an assistant and then as a teacher from September 2010.
Esther grew up in a family that always sung - choirs and Church singing and also had piano lessons when she was young although only plays for her own pleasure at home now.
She has two children and loves her job. What Esther enjoys the most is seeing the children start as babies, how they develop and learn to concentrate (much to the surprise of mum). She also likes to see mums/dads enjoying time with their children.
In class, her aim is for the children to have a fun time but for the parents to see the musical reasoning behind it.
Helen has been working for Rhythm Time since 2010. One of the things she loves most about Rhythm Time is watching the children develop in confidence as they progress from babies through to toddlers and pre-schoolers.
She makes sure that although the children are learning, they are always having fun and she loves seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter.
Helen has three boys herself and has seen the benefits of Rhythm Time with her own children.
Janet began working for Rhythm Time in November 2007 and loves every minute of it.
She has two children who have both attended Rhythm Time classes. She says she gets the best of both worlds - coming as a parent and also enjoys teaching in her classes at Bromsgrove and Romsley! She says it's great to see the children develop in confidence and ability, but most importantly to see how much fun they have and what great music they make. She loves her job !
Kathryn has been working for Rhythm Time since June 2007 and thoroughly enjoys every minute of it. The classes contain a
huge variety of material so there is always some new songs to learn to keep the excitement going.
She keeps her classes fun primarily and the children enjoy learning new skills automatically.
Kathryn has three children of her own who all love helping her prepare for classes and testing out the new bouncing songs or rhymes ! She strongly believes in the benefits of teaching music from such a young age.
Katie has been working for Rhythm Time since March, 2007. She teaches classes in Droitwich and nurseries in both Bromsgrove and Droitwich areas.
She is very passionate about using play and fun opportunities for young children to learn key skills in life, which has stemmed from her work within schools as a Reception teacher.
She has two children and has seen at first hand the advantages of coming to Rhythm Time as both her children attend classes.
She has great fun teaching and really enjoys being a rhythmic role model to others.
Naina has been working with Rhythm Time since 2004, first as an assistant and as a teacher since 2009. She really enjoys her job and loves to see the children progress from the baby classes through the toddler classes and then to the preschool sessions.
She has three girls of her own and would definitely recommend Rhythm Time to other parents. She comments that "Rhythm Time classes are not only full of fun but educational too!"
Sarah began working for Rhythm Time, first as an assistant in April 2008 and since January 2011, has also been teaching classes.
Sarah says that her job is great fun and finds it amazing during classes to see how the children's confidence and skills grow each week.
Sarah has four children, with the youngest two loving the Rhythm Time experience since babies, right through until they started school. They are now enthusiastic musicians, enjoying singing and playing piano.
