Working together with Early Years on the Isle of Wight
Over the last few academic years we have taken our fantastically written music sessions into the classrooms of several Isle of Wight Primary Schools and Preschools with some fantastic results and positive feedback. We have been, and continue to be, a weekly activity for both Reception Classes at Hunnyhill Primary School since June 2014. After an initial six weeks of Children's Centre funded sessions Lanesend Primary School are had their third full term having Rhythm Time in on a weekly basis. We have delivered regular sessions at Greenmount Community Preschool, Ventnor Early Years Preschool and just about to return to Freshwater Early Years Preschool. This document explains a little about what we do, how we do it and why our sessions have such a wide ranging impact on children in the Early Years not just on a musical aspect.
A document which was produced for the Isle of Wight Local Education Authority and the Children's Centres to show how Rhythm Time Sessions benefit babies, toddlers, preschool children and adults. Funding was given to provide free access to sessions (from August 2008 until March 2011)
