Happiness is life set to music

Heidi Seddon

Introduction

Hi, I'm Heidi and I'm in the fabulous position of running Rhythm Time classes across Bury, Radcliffe, Whitefield and Ramsbottom.

I've always found music made me happy and love being with children (I'm usually the mad 'Auntie' who was in the ball pool with the kids, or covered in paint!), so what better
than to choose a job that combines both.

I was a Mum just like you, looking for somewhere interesting and stimulating to take my new 12 week old baby and meet other Mums going through the same thing. I never thought that would turn into a career! After going to a Rhythm Time class, I couldn't stop talking about it and told everyone I met about this great music class we'd been too; I think our Rhythm Time teacher noticed my enthusiasm and a plan emerged.

She approached me in 2013 about becoming a teacher and to say I was shocked was an under-statement. However, after a bit of thought, I decided it was a perfect way to work around my family commitments and to have a job that was fun. Not many people can say that, and I consider myself very lucky.

I then spent the Summer of 2013 training with my Rhythm Time teacher and doing practice classes with my friends, (yes it was me jumping around like a lunatic in Nuttal Park last
Summer doing a practice class!). She finally let me loose on the public for the new term in Autumn 2013.

I have been teaching since then and have loved every second. I have met (and continue to meet) loads of lovely children and get a real buzz when I can see that they've mastered something new, or they do their first Baa-Baa (Rhythm Pattern to us) down the microphone.

So I look forward to meeting you and your little ones and taking you on this journey of discovery into music. It can be life-changing, just look at me!

Come and join in the fun...
