My name is Caroline - I've been a Rhythm Time class leader since 2005.
I love teaching my Rhythm Time classes - it's great to watch even the tiniest children develop and grow in confidence from week to week. Singing has so many benefits - not just for children. While the little ones develop core skills, you parents and carers will be upping your endorphin levels as you're warmly encouraged to sing and dance with your children!
"Home" is a narrowboat in Oxfordshire. When my daughters were babies we would go on long voyages with the two of them strapped to the roof. To while away the travelling hours I would sing to them and, as a result, can vouch for the power of music in children's development. They both started talking at 10 months and are now doing well at school.
In my spare time I enjoy playing a variety of musical instruments - some better than others! I have acquire some notoriety recently by auditioning for Britain's Got Talent - playing the musical saw! I'm afraid Simon Cowell didn't think much of it, so it's just as well I love my Rhythm Time work so much as I don't think I'll be called up to play for royalty this year!
Classes run Tuesday-Friday mornings in termtime. Free drinks and biscuits provided.
