Children’s franchise group, Rhythm Timeis welcoming
yet another new franchisee on board this month as the company’s unprecedented growth continues. Gillian
Holmes is embarking on her perfect career as she takes over the franchise for South Glasgow. This brings the
total number of new franchisees this year to seven.
Local mother of two Gillian Holmes is delighted with her new career as it combines her love of music with working with children. Moving from a career in sales and account management to teaching children’s music classes is quite an exciting but highly rewarding change for Gillian. “I discovered Rhythm Time when I attended their classes with my daughter a few years ago. We both loved it and we met good friends whom we still see to this day. The combination of music and working with children is an absolute thrill and I’m very excited about running and developing this fabulous children’s franchise. The fact that it also fits around my family commitments is also a great benefit ” she says.
Owner and founder of Rhythm Time, Kathy Doolan, is delighted with the high levels of interest she gets from individuals expressing an interest in owning a children’s franchise in the company. “There are so many talented people looking at franchising as a proven business that fits their skills, energies and ambitions” says Kathy who originally studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music in Glasgow and went on to become Head of Music in a Scottish school. A firm believer in the importance of music in the development of babies and toddlers, Kathy set up Rhythm Time in 1995 and now has franchises all over the UK.
The unique set of music courses has been specifically written by Kathy, and created to help a child’sconfidence, creativity and co-ordination. These classes are aimed at different age groups, specifically: music classes for babies, music classes for toddlersand music classes for pre-school. “The music classes are well structured and fun, and in turn leads a child to an early love of music. Above all, I believe their confidence as individuals is their greatest achievement during their time with us” says Kathy.
Rhythm Time offers children’s franchise opportunities throughout the country and now operates in nearly 200 different premises throughout the UK, helping more than 10,000 children weekly to enjoy an early start to the benefits of music.
