According to latest statistics at Rhythm Time, a leading provider of educational music classes for children under five, franchising is proving to be a popular route to people wanting to own their own business. Latest figures show that enquiries to own a Rhythm Time music franchise have increased by 30% between January - June 2013 compared to the same period in 2012.
This is in line with the British Franchise Association's latest report in 2012 where they state that "in spite of continuing economic pressures on the economy as a whole, franchising in the UK continues to expand. In an industry worth £13.4billion, they also note that 81% of franchisees in the UK believe that, as a franchised business, they have a competitive advantage over other small (non-franchised) businesses.
