Rhythm Time music classes for the under-fives welcomes two new talented franchisees to their growing UK network of childrens franchises - Lucy Guess joins in Rugby and Lutterworth, and Laura Barker in Newcastle upon Tyne. They'll be teaching developmental music classes to babies and toddlers in their local areas.

The music sessions have been written by a music teacher and specifically designed to help with development and learning, starting with stimulating baby classes and leading to exciting toddler classes and educational pre-school sessions. There are also Young Baby Courses that have been created for very young babies from birth to six months.

Both Lucy and Laura have musical backgrounds and are delighted to be able to use their talents in a rewarding career that fits around their young families.

As a child, Lucy sang in Coventry Cathedral choir and then moved onto orchestral music playing the double bass. In addition to her Rhythm Time business, she is also a successful musical director of The Belles of Three Spires, one of the largest ladies barbershop choruses in the country.

"Every week, I see how music is good for your mental and physical health. The benefits of music last our whole lives, and I know from my own experience that starting early improved my own development and social life," says Lucy.

Mother of two, Laura has also always loved music and performance, playing the flute as a child and training in drama for many years. She studied through LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), gaining Grade 8 in both Acting and Speech and Prose.

"I am so excited to help local children develop their music skills, as well as growing their confidence, speech skills and motor skills in a fun and engaging way," quotes Laura.
