News: Musical mum embarks on perfect music franchise career
Local musical mum, Alison Swanson has embarked on her perfect, life-changing career –teaching multi-award-winning developmental music classes to young babies, babies and toddlers in the Preston, Longridge & Garstang area from September 2018.
The highly popular Rhythm Time music classes have been written by Kathy Doolan (previously Head of Music at a Scottish Secondary School) and are thoughtfully curated using music to facilitate early child development. Starting with stimulating baby classes, the courses lead on to exciting toddler classes and educational pre-school sessions.
Alison grew up with a passion for music and gained a degree in vocal and operatic studies at Birmingham Conservatoire. She has performed many roles and concerts in around the UK and also became a vocal tutor at Bolton Music Service.
Alison had her daughter in 2011 who unfortunately, was very poorly during her first five months. It was singing, clapping and music that helped to strengthen a bond with her daughter, when no physical contact was allowed in the hospital.
“Knowing how important music is for young children, when I noticed that there were no music classes for youngsters in the Longridge area, I did some research and soon found Kathy Doolan, Founder and MD of Rhythm Time! Everything then fell into place when I bought the local franchise. Rhythm Time is lots of fun but at the same time develops children and provides them with a solid early education in music,” she quotes.
“I can’t wait to share this musical journey with you, whether you’re a parent, carer or grandparent! Please come along, make new friends and enjoy a special music and sensory experience with your little one!” she adds.
